Congratulations to Swedish photographer Paul Hansen. Paul won World Press Photo’s Photo of the Year with his amazing image of two Palestinian children killed in an Israeli missile strike being carried to their funeral.
Photographer Terry L. Sohl noticed that something seemed a little off in the amount of traffic his website was receiving. After a little detective work he realized that with the launch of Google’s redesigned Image Search he was receiving substantially less traffic.
Well before I started shooting sports for Pic Agency I had a workflow consisting of Apple’s Aperture and Photoshop that was very comfortable with. Once I started at Pic Agency I modified my workflow and started working out of a combination of Apple’s Aperture and Photo Mechanic. Doing all my editing and selecting in Aperture and then doing the captioning in Photo Mechanic. The reason being that at the time I started at Pic Agency the Swedish letter å,ä, ö would be scrambled if the caption was written in Aperture. A problem I believe has since been fixed.

This is the hundred and first post on my site. A meager milestone considering the site is almost five years old. None the less I felt it was worth mentioning, hopefully I will start to pick up the pace and it won’t take another 5 years to reach two hundred.
In the last week I’ve been playing around a lot with the code of the site and have tried to do a bit of cleaning. Like I already mentioned the site if almost 5 years old and in that time I’ve added (and subtracted) a lot to the code. So it’s a good practice to go through things and try and put things in order and see what can be improved.
